Community Crisis Care (CCC) is a ministry designed to provide crisis care through offerings given above and beyond our general fund offering. For a fuller description and picture of how this ministry functions, see the article below “The Poor You Will Always Have With You: Be Open Handed … Toward the Poor and Needy” Whom Do We Serve? We serve people from the community who are not members of Resurrection. How Do We Serve? We provided limited funding assistance with food, utility bills, clothing, shelter. We offer personal care and prayer for those who come to us seeking help. We provide them with links to other ministries and government agencies in the community who can help. Offerings RLC’s Community Crisis Care is supported by offerings above and beyond our general fund offering. Those who want to assist this ministry may do so by placing an offering in the pre-printed “Community Food & Crisis” envelope or any envelope with the note “Community Food & Crisis” or “Community Crisis Care.” Checks should be payable to Resurrection Lutheran Church (RLC). Volunteer We need servants with the passion and experience needed to assist with this ministry. It requires a good listening ear, wisdom and discernment, and the ability to spend time with a stranger, showing hospitality as you discern how best to help him. It takes faith, because we cannot help everyone with every need. In faith we offer the best help we can, trusting the Lord to bless our small gifts and provide for those whom we cannot help. It takes faith in the Lord to seek His ways and His wisdom. It takes the love of Christ that He had for us so that we reach out to our neighbor with the love Christ had for us.
