6-7th Grade Confirmation Retreat: Growing Outside the Classroom
Faith is not something that is limited to the classroom; on the contrary our faith shapes our lives as Christians. The Confirmation curriculum the opportunity to explore their faith while dealing with real life issues. One of the many ways in which the youth are able to explore their faith this year is through attending a Confirmation Retreat. The youth, grades6 through 7, have the opportunity to sign up for the Fall retreat and participate with their friends in Bible studies, camp fires, challenge course, rock climbing, archery and canoeing. (The 8th grade students will attend their own retreat at Camp Lutherock near Boone, NC.) It’s also just a time to connect and enjoy your friends, while having the opportunity to make new ones!
This year, the retreat is at Camp Agape in Fuquay-Varina, NC.(For more information about Camp Agape, click here .) As with all retreats, the adults that attend have had background checks and have a love for the LORD and your children. Pastor Tim and DCE Megan are the ministry staff that help lead the retreat.
