8th Grade Faith Affirmation Now that you’re in your last year in Confirmation, it’s a time to affirm what you believe. Your parents made promises at your Baptism, but now is your opportunity to stand up, stand firm and declare how God has shaped your life. Using the knowledge that you’ve gained over the past 4 years, the experiences you’ve shared, and the maturity as you get older… how is God the center of your life? How do you share your faith? How is God leading you? This year’s project to reflect that is an 8th Grade Faith Affirmation. Over the next months you will start by researching several Bible verses, and eventually choose a verse which will be your Confirmation verse. You will write an outline reflecting the verse you chose and leading towards a Faith Statement that shows how God is the center of your life. Finally, you will speak in front of the Congregation at the service of your choosing… affirming your faith and making a public effort to share what you believe.
