Fostering a love of reading makes a life-long impact!
Resurrection has been involved with a program that works to do just that: encouraging a love of reading and providing books each reader gets to keep.
2026 marks our third year reading once a week with first and fourth graders at Reedy Creek Elementary School in Cary. This past school year we served 50 students and distributed 676 books to them.
Our Resurrection team is looking for more volunteers, and we hope you might consider joining us. Volunteering takes about an hour of your time on Monday mornings and is a great way to start the week. Reading together, seeing the delight in the children’s eyes and their shy smiles is something pretty special.
