Women of the Word (WOW)

Chosen: A Study of Esther

Wednesdays, 7:00-8:00 pm (Fellowship at 6:45 pm)
Fellowship Hall
January 7-May 20

You're invited to study the Book of Esther. The setting: A lavish feast in the opulent Persian Empire. The event: a beauty contest. The plot: save a nation from annihilation. In this study, see that God's presence is ever abundant in your life, and that God gives you the courage to live fearlessly as Esther did. Learn the historical context of the Book of Esther to enrich your understanding of God's Word.

Materials: Chosen: A Study of Esther by Donna Pyle is available for self-purchase through Amazon (paperback and digital formats).

A Zoom group version of this will be available on Mondays, 7:00-8:00 pm.

Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML)

LWML Mission Statement:
As Lutheran Women in Mission, we joyfully proclaim Christ,
support missions, and equip women to honor God by serving others.

Our Mighty Mites

Mite Box offerings are collected at all church services on the first weekend of each month. These offerings, based on the Biblical account of the widow's mite (Luke 21:1-4), fund mission projects chosen annually by the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML).

Please place your gifts in the large purple Mite Box in the Narthex near Sanctuary Worship. The large Mite Box is always available at the Welcome table in the Narthex for gifts anytime during the month.

Gifts can also be made by check, payable to RLW, placed in Donna Krupcale's church mailbox or mailed directly to Donna Krupcale, ℅ Resurrection Lutheran Church, 100 Lochmere Drive West, Cary NC  27518.

Thank you for supporting the mission grants of Lutheran Women in Mission! We want to make sure that all the mission grants are fully funded, and missions are supported. If you need a Mite box, contact either Donna Krupcale or Jamee Thieme through RCB.

Lutheran Women in Mission — The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) is an official auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Since 1942, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman's relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries, and to support global missions.

The LWML is the leading group for LCMS women where each woman is welcomed and encouraged to use her unique God-given gifts as she supports global missions and serves the Lord with gladness.
