Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study
Holy Communion
Sundays, 9:30-10:30 am
Fellowship Hall
October 26-December 21
Led by Ian Glenn
Using Luther's Small Catechism and the Bible, this class will be focused on the Lutheran understanding of Holy Communion, where it comes from in the Bible, and what we can learn about it from the early church writers. There will also be discussion on the similarities and differences between the Lutheran understanding of the sacrament with those of other Christian denominations in an effort to help prepare participants for discussions that might arise in day-to-day life.
It is hoped that participants will gain a richer understanding and appreciation for the sacrament of the Lord's Supper and how it has shaped Christian worship throughout the centuries.
Bring your Bible and Luther's Small Catechism. Some will be available.
