Sunday Morning
RLC values Christian education, for adults and children, and considers it to be an essential part of a healthy equipping ministry. We offer Sunday School opportunities for adults and children from 9:30-10:30 am, September through May.
Adult Bible Study ~ Holy Communion
Time: 9:30-10:30 am
Place: Fellowship Hall
Dates: October 26-December 21
Leader: Ian Glenn
Using Luther's Small Catechism and the Bible, this class will focus on the Lutheran understanding of Holy Communion, where it comes from in the Bible, and what we can learn about it from the early church writers. There will also be discussion on the similarities and differences between the Lutheran understanding of the sacrament with those of other Christian denominations in an effort to help prepare participants for discussions that might arise in day-to-day life.
It is hoped that participants will gain a richer understanding and appreciation for the sacrament of the Lord's Supper and how it has shaped Christian worship throughout the centuries. Bring your Bible and Luther's Small Catechism. Some will be available.

For Parents, Grandparents, Guardians - All Welcome!
Parenting happens in habits. We make meals, get in cars, answer questions, discipline, and do bedtime. Using the book, Habits of the Household by Justin Whitmel Earley, we will see how these ordinary routines are extraordinary opportunities to live out the love of God in profound ways. In our time together, we will grow as the parents God has called us to be and see how God is working in the mundane moments of our households.
Resource: Habits of the Household by Justin Whitmel Earley

Two Roads

Place: Room 247, Family Life Center
Dates: October 29-November 19
Leader: Tom Gebbia
When many of us first met Jesus, we imagined a life full of authentic relationships, vibrant faith, and deep joy. But down the road, we find ourselves exhausted from trying to keep up, frustrated by our habitual issues, or just plain burnt out. We feel like we’re faking it more often than not, and bizarrely our faith communities often end up feeling like the place we need to hide our true faces the most. We thought this road would lead to abundant life, but lately it feels like a grinding drudge.
What if there was a different road? A road that led to real, authentic community — the kind where the worst parts of you can be known, and you’ll be loved more in the telling of it? What if we could let our true faces be seen in our families, friendships, churches, and workplaces, and we could see others’ true faces too? What if that life of being authentically known and loved is real, and Jesus is inviting you into it? Through videos, discussion questions and scripture, Two Roads is designed to help the group travel beyond the mask and begin experiencing real, authentic relationships rooted in grace.
For the month of December, we will host a special speaker on Wednesdays, December 3 and 10.
And all men are invited to participate in the Potluck and Gift Exchange on Wednesday, December 17.
Women of the Word (WOW)
Time: 7:00-8:00 pm (Fellowship at 6:45 pm)
Place: Fellowship Hall and Online via Zoom

Leaders: Jamee Thieme, Sharon Hahne, Dawn Leister
All women are invited to this discussion-based study using the book, Everlasting: Peaks, Valleys, and Grace in the Psalms by Christina Hergenrader.
Anxious. Worthy. Ashamed. Nostalgic. Lonely. Secure. This is just a handful of emotions we observe in the Psalms – and in our day-to-day lives, too. In this women's Bible study, you'll be guided through 25 psalms, digging into their genres, perplex emotions, glimpses of Jesus, and more. While in this life we experience mountaintop moments, deep valleys, and everything in between, we can rest in God's everlasting love and grace.
A Zoom group version of this will be available on Mondays, 7:00-8:00 pm.
Book is available for purchase from Concordia Publishing House and Amazon. Digital version is also available through Amazon.
